Hypervisor
Section titled “Hypervisor”A hypervisor or virtual machine monitor (VMM) is computer software, firmware or hardware that creates and runs virtual machines. It is so named because it is conceptually one level higher than a supervisory program. Common examples include VMware or Microsoft’s XEN.
